Sturgeon residents enjoy a City Park with; Shelter House, Basketball Court, Tennis Court, Horseshoe pit and Playground equipment. There is also the relatively new Creek Park located in the Southeast Corner of the town.

The Court of Common Plea Building was registered during the 1976 Bicentennial as an Historical Site.

John Dale Lawrence Memorial Fairgrounds & Park, site of the annual Community Fair, has horseshoe pits, lighted arena, lighted demolition derby arena, shelter house with concession stand, 4-H building, and the Sturgeon Youth Center Community Building.

There is Summer League Baseball, softball & tee-ball played on school grounds.

Fishing is a favorite at Tri-City Lake located 7 miles east with swimming and picnicking accomodations. Rudolf Bennitt Wildlife area is 12 miles to the west. Pinnacles nature area is 10 miles south. Rocky Fork Lakes Wildlife area and Finger Lakes State Park with its many small fish-filled lakes are 13 miles south.

The Youth Center will rent for $75.00 for any twelve (12) time period desired by the renting party.
